Minsk to join celebrations of Moscow-Paris anniversary train

MINSK, 16 July (BelTA) – Celebrations and business meetings timed to the 500th trip of the Moscow-Minsk-Warsaw-Berlin-Paris train will take place in the five capitals in July, BelTA learnt from the press service of Belarusian Railways.

The train will arrive at the Minsk Central Railway Station at 15:07 on 20 July and will stay in the Belarusian capital for 19 minutes.

“Exceptional customer service and efficient international cooperation in the interests of passengers and the market of transportation services are due to constant and painstaking work of all the participants of the transportation process,” the press service noted. Belarusian Railways secures unobstructed and fast travelling of the train on the territory of Belarus. The train stops in Orsha, Minsk, Baranovichi and Brest.

The train made its maiden trip on 12 December 2011. Over the first year alone, the train carried about 36,000 passengers. The total number of passengers has exceeded 85,000 so far. In H1 2014 about 18,000 people travelled by this train (15,000 in the same period in 2013).

The train makes five trips per week in the summer season.
