Belarus’ tourism potential to be on display at EXPO 2015 in Milan

MINSK, 4 May (BelTA) – Belarus will display its tourism potential at EXPO 2015 in Milan on 12 September, BelTA has learned from the marketing department of the National Tourism Agency.

The presentation is included in Belarus’ business program at EXPO 2015. The event will take place on the second floor of the Belarusian national pavilion. There are plans to present Belarusian tourist routes, historical and cultural legacy, successful tourism companies. The program of the event will also include negotiations between Belarusian and Italian tour operators and companies. The Consulate General of Belarus in Milan and the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry will inform all interested parties about the presentation and invite Italian tourism companies to take part in the event.

The National Tourism Agency invites representatives of the Belarusian tourism industry to take part in the event and to present their products. The National Tourism Agency will provide assistance in organizing participation in the presentation using non-budget funds. He corresponding application shall be submitted to the National Tourism Agency before 22 May.

The Universal Exposition is the biggest international platform to demonstrate technical and technological solutions. It was held in 1851 for the first time. The theme chosen for the 2015 Milan Universal Exposition is Feeding the Planet, Energy for Life. This embraces technology, innovation, culture, traditions and creativity and how they relate to food and diet. The total area of exposition pavilions will make up over 1.7 million square meters. 150 countries have already confirmed their plans to take part in the exposition. Ten international organizations and 30 corporations are also expected to participate.
