Ordinance on combating mismanagement to give more powers to company heads
MOGILEV, 3 September (BelTA) – The draft ordinance on tougher punishment for mismanagement and tougher requirements for senior executives will be finalized. The document will grant more powers to company heads, Head of the Belarus President Administration Andrei Kobyakov said answering a question of a BelTA journalist. Andrei Kobyakov was on a working trip to Mogilev Oblast on 3 September.He reminded that the draft ordinance had been recently discussed at a meeting presided by the head of state. The ordinance contains suggestions on tougher punishment for poor economic and financial performance of companies, failures related to technologies and the failure to maintain order in the adjacent area. Top executives who work inefficiently will not be able to hold the same position in another company and might also face criminal charges.
“The head of state wants us not only to toughen requirements for company heads, but also to give them more powers to demand tough discipline from their subordinates, so that executives would be able to meet the requirements set for them. Therefore, the work on the document continues. A small group of specialists, company heads has been set up,” Andrei Kobyakov said.
During his trip to Mogilev Oblast Andrei Kobyakov visited Protos Group (Mogilev District) and Mogilevkhimvolokno.
