One administration for cement production in Mogilev Oblast

BELYNICHI, 7 July (BelTA) – Plans have been made to unite all the sites that manufacture cement products in Mogilev Oblast under the same administration. The plans were reported to Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko during his working trip to Belynichi District, Mogilev Oblast on 7 July, BelTA has learned.

Chairman of the Mogilev Oblast Executive Committee Piotr Rudnik suggested setting up a state-run industrial group Belarusian Cement Plant that will comprise the public joint-stock company Belarusian Cement Plant in Kostyukovichi and its branch in Klimovichi that makes limestone and forage chalk as well as two manufacturing sites in the town of Krichev. The Mogilev Oblast Governor suggested his first deputy Vladimir Kiselev, who used to run Belarusian Cement Plant, as the head of the new industrial group.

The head of state approved the relevant plans. “Good, he may start tomorrow,” said the President.

BelTA learned from Piotr Rudnik that both enterprises are only 30km away from each other yet they compete with each other trying to sell the same kinds of merchandise. Moreover, each enterprise has its own repair and marketing divisions. Thanks to optimization and the combination of efforts it will be possible to greatly reduce costs and increase financial and economic parameters of the work.
