New auxiliary bishop assigned to Archdiocese of Minsk-Mogilev
MINSK, 10 June (BelTA) - Pope Francis has assigned new auxiliary bishop to the Archdiocese of Minsk-Mogilev, BelTA learned from the Roman Catholic Church in Belarus.
Priest Alexander Yashevsky was appointed auxiliary bishop. The Apostolic Nunciature in Minsk said that he serves as auxiliary bishop at the parish of Saint John in Minsk. Alexander Yashevsky currently heads the Salesian community in Belarus, the Belarusian division of the Society of Saint Francis de Sales.
