Most agricultural companies in Mogilev oblast have finished autumn grain sowing

Most agricultural companies in the Mogilev oblast have finished autumn grain sowing, BelTA learnt from the Agriculture and Food Committee of the Mogilev Oblast Executive Committee. As of September 29 the oblast had 195,600 hectares of winter grains sown or 100% of the target. 197,500 hectares (101%) of lands has been prepared for autumn sowing. Agricultural companies in 14 out of 21 regions of the oblast have finished the sowing campaign. The seven regions have to sow 2-5% of headed crops. By the end of the week Mogilev oblast agricultural companies plan to finish the sowing campaign. Corn harvesting continues. 37,000 hectares have been harvested for silage or green fodder or 37% of the target, with the yield as large as 236 centners per hectare and the total harvest as large as 873,000 tonnes of fodder. 330 hectares of grain corn or 0.1% of the target have been harvested, with the yield as large as 78 centners per hectare and the total harvest as large as 2,600 tonnes.
