Mogilevliftmash and Ukrainian OOO Karat-Liftcomplex to produce 1 thousand elevators in 2008

In 2008, Mogilevliftmash and OOO Karat-Liftcomplex (Vyshgorod, Ukraine) intend to produce and supply to Ukraine 1 thousand elevators, BelTA learnt from director general of Mogilevliftmash Piotr Rudnik. According to him, the Mogilev-based company and the Ukrainian Karat-Liftcomplex have been cooperating for more than three years. In 2005, they jointly produced and supplied to Ukraine 56 elevators, in 2007 – 765 elevators. This year, the sides reached an agreement to supply 1 thousand elevators. Piotr Rudnik noted that this cooperation allows the Mogilev company to participate in the state tenders to supply and replace elevators and, correspondingly, to expand its presence on the Ukrainian market. At present, OOO Karat-Liftcomplex produces around 40% of elevators’ component parts, the rest ones are supplied from Mogilev. Mogilevliftmash is the CIS leading company producing elevators. It manufactures a wide range of passenger lifts with the load capacity from 400 to 1000 kilos, freight-passenger, hospital and non-standard elevators. The company also manufactures component parts to repair, replace and upgrade old elevators, other equipment and consumer goods. The company certified its quality management systems of designing, producing and servicing passenger and freight elevators in line with the standard STB ISO 9001-2001 and with the German standard DIN EN ISO 9001-2000 in the TGA accreditation system. The company also has a certificate of compliance to the requirements of the European directive on elevators, which gives the right to put a CE marking on the product. All base elevator models (more than 50) were certified in the national systems of the main countries-consumers – Russia, Ukraine and Kazakhstan. In 2007 the company made Br270.5 billion worth of products in comparable prices, up by 24% on 2006; the production of consumer goods was increased by 7.3% and totaled Br20.4 billion. Founded in 1967, the Mogilev-based Plant of Elevator Equipment (Mogilevliftmash) was transformed into a republican unitary company in 2000. The company employs more than 4 thousand specialists.
