MOGILEV, 7 September (BelTA) – Over 60 agricultural fairs will be held in Mogilev Oblast in September-October, BelTA learnt from the trade and services bureau of the Mogilev Oblast Executive Committee.

A major fair in Mogilev will open the fair season on 10 September. Taking part in it will be farm producers and over 70 other companies. Agricultural fairs will be held in Mogilev on 24 September, 8 and 15 October. In the rest of the oblast, the fairs will start on 20 September and will run until the beginning of November. Besides, Mogilev and Bobruisk will become the venue for two specialized fairs Fish of Belarus. The dates of the events will be announced later.

Beginning 15 September, local producers will be provided with additional sales area at markets and mini-markets of Mogilev Oblast. They will sell mostly fruit, vegetables, and meat. “Thus, we hope to encourage sound competition on the markets of the oblast so that local residents will be able to stock farm produce for the winter at an affordable price,” the Mogilev Oblast Executive Committee said.
