Mogilev Footwear Company intends to boost supplies to EU countries

MOGILEV, April 1 (BelTA) – The Mogilev-based company “Footwear” intends to increase its supplies to the EU countries, BelTA learnt from director of the company Sergei Burmistrov. The company has presented its footwear (ShagoVita trademark) at the international exhibition of footwear in Dusseldorf for the first time. Not only German but companies from other countries showed their interest in the Mogilev-produced footwear. At present, the sides are discussing the supplies of children’s footwear to the European Union. According to Sergei Burmistrov, children’s footwear is a social product and it is in popular demand despite the global economic crisis. At present, the Mogilev company produces about 3,000 pair of footwear per day. Around 70% of the produced footwear is supplied to the domestic market, around 25% of footwear is exported to the Russian Federation and 5% - to the Baltic states. “At the same time, after the participation in the Dusseldorf exhibition we hope to diversify the sales markets and boost the supplies to the EU countries. Today we produce qualitative footwear made of natural materials only,” Sergei Burmistrov noted. The Mogilev Footwear Company is one of the leading companies of the Belarusian light industry. It produces more than 200 models of children’s footwear. The company has certified its products in line with ISO 9000 standards.
