Mogilev-based Electrodvigatel increases exports by 28% in January-August

In January-August the Mogilev-based Electrodvigatel Plant increased its exports by almost 28% to $27.1 million, the company told BelTA. The exports mainly grew due to an increase in supplies of electric engines of different modifications to Russia and other CIS countries. The Russian regions alone imported 142.3 thousand electric engines. The total exports made up 156.4 thousand engines. Over the eight months of 2008 the company produced 222.6 thousand electric engines, up 15.5 thousand from the same point of 2007. The output of the industrial products grew 15.1% to Br73.4 billion in comparable prices, consumer goods – 13.4% up to Br21.1 billion. Production upgrading and development of new explosion-proof engines 4BP, 4BC used in the oil and gas area as well as of energy-saving engines meeting the requirements of the European classification EFF2 boosted an output of new products. Over the eight months of 2008, Br1.7 billion of capital investments were put in the production development. Founded in 1945, Electrodvigatel Plant produces different models of three- and single-phase induction electric motors with the total capacity ranging from 0.12 to 22 kilowatt. The products meet the European standards CENELEC (DIN). All the goods produced by Electrodvigatel meet international standard ISO 9000 and security certificates of Belarus and Russia.
