Krichevcementnoshifer increases cement production by 15.2% in H1 2008

In January-June 2008, unitary company Krichevcementnoshifer produced 639.1 thousand tonnes of cement, or 15.2 % up over the same period 2007, BelTA learnt at the company. Over the six months this year, the company supplied 639.8 thousand tonnes of cement including 599.9 thousand tonnes of finished cement (14.3% up as against January-June, 2007). In the period under review, the Krichev-based company exported 16.1 thousand tonnes of cement to the Russian Federation (31.7% down as against January-June 2007). In 2008, Krichevcementnoshifer is projected to export no more than 50 thousand tonnes of cement. In January-June 2008, Krichevcementnoshifer increased the production of asbestos-cement boards by 27.6% over the same period last year. The export of this construction material surged 6 times over H1 2007. Over the six months, the Krichev based company produced goods at the amount of Br135.9 billion, or 17% up in comparable prices from the same period last year. In January-May, 2008, the profitability of the sold products made up 34.5% as against 11% for the five months 2007. In 2008, Krichevcementnoshifer intends to produce around 1.4 million tonnes of cement, in 2009 – 1.6 million tonnes. Krichevcementnoshifer was founded in 1933. The company employs around 1.6 thousand people.
