In 2007 Mogilev oblast boosts output by 13.6%

In 2007 the Mogilev oblast increased the industrial output by 13.6% over 2006, BelTA learned from the Economy Committee of the Mogilev Oblast Executive Committee. The output of consumer goods went up by 9.3% last year. Capital investments surged by 24.1%, exports – by 21.1%, paid services - 12.8%. More than 432,000 m2 of housing were constructed in the region. The Mogilev oblast reduced energy consumption by 14.1%. The agricultural output grew by 5.5% last year. In 2007, the regional agricultural companies produced over 1.15 million tonnes of grain, more than 1.24 million tonnes of potatoes, over 287,000 tonnes of vegetables, 61,000 tonnes of fruits and berries, over 154,000 tonnes of sugar beets, 6,300 tonnes of flax-fibres, 126,000 tonnes of cattle and poultry in live weight, 746,000 tonnes milk and 429 million eggs.
