Capital investments in Mogilev oblast to exceed Br 2.7 trillion in 2008

Capital investments in Mogilev oblast will exceed Br 2.7 trillion in 2008. Foreign investments are expected to reach 11% of the total, BelTA learnt in the economy committee of the oblast executive committee. New investment projects will be launched at Mogilevkhimvolokno, Belshina, Mogilev ZIV, Krichevtsementnoshifer, Belarusian Cement Works, Strommashina, Mogilevliftmash, Bobruiskagromash, Newsprint Factory. Some funds will be invested in modernization of local companies. Thus, reconstruction of the Bykhov vegetable dehydration plant will be completed, a new vegetable dehydration facility will be put in operation at Slavgorod Pishchevik, an up-to-date juice factory with the annual capacity of 15 million liters will be set up in Bobruisk. Babushkina Krynka and Syabar Brewery will continue the upgrading projects. Apart from modernization of the local companies investments will also be used for application of resource-saving technologies and production of new competitive goods. It is noteworthy that the priority will be given to investing in companies located in small towns and settlements. The funds will be allocated in accordance with the state programme of development of regions, small and medium towns for 2007-2010.
