Bard Music & Fishing Festival to be presented in Bykhov

MOGILEV, 28 August (BelTA) - Bard Music & Fishing Festival will be presented at the Day of the Belarusian Written Language in Bykhov, BelTA learnt from the main department of ideology, education and sport of the Mogilev Oblast Executive Committee

Two bard music concerts with the participation of famous Belarusian singers and musicians will be held there on 1 September.

The event will also include an exhibition of the winners of the Lucky Fishing! contest which is held annually at Bard Music & Fishing Festival. For the first time the exhibition will feature more than 20 works. These are mainly landscapes, sketches, portraits, on-the-spot reports from Bard Music & Fishing Festival over the past four years. The festival merchandise, different musical instruments, original albums will be on sale here.

The program will also include an award ceremony of the partners of the fest and the donation of photo documents and souvenirs of the Bard Music & Fishing Festival to a local museum for an exposition of the modern Bykhov District.

The Bard Music & Fishing Festival project was launched in 2010. The forum has developed into a bright and extraordinary cultural event of Mogilev Oblast, well-known both in Belarus and beyond its borders. This year the festival welcomed over 2,000 guests and participants from Belarus, Russia, Ukraine, Latvia, and Lithuania. This time the participants of the festival set a record by cooking the world’s biggest fish broth.

The organizers of the event are the Bykhov District Executive Committee, the department of ideology, culture and youth affairs of the Mogilev Oblast Executive Committee, the Mogilev bard music club New City, the Gomel guitar poetry club and the oblast council on agro-ecotourism development in Mogilev Oblast.

The general partners of the project are Mogotex and the Belarusian news agency BelTA.
