Alexander Lukashenko visits Babushkina Krynka in Mogilev

MOGILEV, February 17 (BelTA) – President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko is making a tour of the Babushkina Krynka dairy in Mogilev, BelTA reports. The head of state will get familiar with the economic and social development of the company, its performance in the modern-day financial-economic conditions, the course of technological upgrade and also development prospects, production of new goods, competitiveness of products and the efforts to expand sales markets. Alexander Lukashenko will also get familiar with the modern-day milk processing equipment and production technology. The President is set to attend an exposition of the company’s products. Babushkina Krynka makes hard cheese, whole-milk products including baby food, animal oil, dried dairy products, ice cream. In 2008, the company started producing whole milk substitutes. The company’s product line features more than 200 types of products. It launched the manufacture of 41 new products last year and plans to launch 13 products more this year. Only eco-friendly raw materials are used in the production. The company has been certified to comply with the HACCP and the STB ISO 9001-2001 quality management systems and has been awarded the right for marking its products with Natural Product label. In 2008, the company received the government’s prizes for high-technology methods of quality management and highly-competitive products. In 2008, capital investments in Babushkina Krynka totaled Br10.7 billion, including Br5.4 billion of the company’s own funds. So far the company has implemented three investment projects. It has upgraded the cheese-making production at the Belynichsky subsidiary, revamped the parent enterprise to expand the line-up and enhance quality of products with the use of resource-saving technologies and set up a whey drying facility. The bulk of the output of the Babushkina Krynka dairy goes to the domestic market. In order to increase exports, the company has set up a dealer network in Moscow and the Moscow oblast, Bryansk and the Bryansk oblast.
