Leading economists of Belarus, Russia, Kazakhstan to discuss production modernization

MOGILEV, 12 March (BelTA) – Leading economists of Belarus, Russia and Kazakhstan will meet in Mogilev on 26-27 March for the 1st international seminar, Issues in managing the economic potential in the process of modernization of industrial companies, BelTA learnt from head of the economy and management department at the Kuleshov Mogilev State University, Doctor of Economic Sciences Natalia Makovskaya.

The event will take place at OAO Mogotex and OAO Lenta.

The main goal of the seminar is to unite modern theoretical learning and know how, Natalia Makovskaya noted. The parties will hold discussions on such matters as financial stability, labor sector reconstruction, marketing and foreign economic activity, social responsibility of companies during upgrade projects, ways to minimize the social shock in transforming the production capacities.

The specialist underlined the importance of the international format of the event. “The seminar will summarize and analyze both the experience of modernization of production in European countries and different regions of Belarus. As a result, Mogilev Oblast companies will be offered the most economically sound, optimal ways and methods of modernization.”

Among the organizers of the seminar is the Education Ministry of Belarus, the Mogilev Executive Committee, the Kuleshov Mogilev State University, OAO Mogotex and OAO Lenta.
