Bobruisk plant to supply Serbia with ?3.5m worth of tractor sets

MINSK, 20 June (BelTA) - Bobruisk Plant of Tractor Parts and Units signed a contract on the delivery of 350 tractor sets worth almost ?3.5 million to Serbia, BelTA learnt from the company.

Serbia will purchase 150 tractor sets Belarus-622, 150 tractor sets Belarus-422 and 50 tractor sets Belarus-320.5. The vehicles will be assembled at the production area of Belarus-Agropanonka Company in Novi Sad. The company is an official representative of OAO MAZ in the Balkan region. The assembly plant for light-duty tractors has been officially opened.

The memorandum on a new assembly plant for Bobruisk tractors in Europe was signed during the official visit of the President of Belarus to Serbia, which completed on 12 June. “Taking into account the close ties between Belarus-Agropanonka and the consumers from the former Yugoslavian countries, the implementation of the signed documents will help Bobruisk-logo tractors to gain foothold in Serbia and advance to the markets of the neighboring states,” representatives of the Belarusian company noted.

Bobruisk Plant of Tractor Parts and Units was founded in 1945. The enterprise specializes in making component parts for tractors Belarus. In 2007 the enterprise started making compact tractors of the Belarus-320 series. At present the company’s manufacturing program includes 11 basic models of tractors and municipal vehicles based on them.
