Mogilev Steelworks eyes Azerbaijani, Armenian markets
MINSK, 6 August (BelTA) – The Mogilev steelworks has been developing cooperation with Azerbaijan and Armenia, BelTA learnt from deputy head of the company’s marketing department Natalia Karmazina. In her words, approximately 180 tonnes of steel pipes have been shipped to Azerbaijan following the order of a large construction company Azenko. It was a sample order for a large-scale construction of the Sumgait Technological Park. According to Natalia Karmazina, a trial consignment of steel pipes will be also sent to Armenia. The Belarusian company signed a contract with one of the Armenian firms. The Mogilev Steelworks exports its products to Europe, Russia, Ukraine and Kazakhstan. The plant is soon set to sign a contract with a Turkish company on the delivery of technical iron shot. The negotiations are under way to supply steel products to Belgium, Hungary and Romania. Founded in 1929, the company was reorganized into the Mogilev Steelworks in 1997. The company made part of the Belarusian Steel Works in 2006. The plant produces steel tubes, chilled iron shot and grit, iron manholes and a wide lineup of consumer goods. The company employs almost 1200 professionals.БЕЛТА
