German investors to set up cement-bonded boards facility in Mogilev Oblast

MOGILEV, 23 November (BelTA) - German investors intend to create a facility to manufacture cement-bonded boards in Mogilev Oblast. The agreement was reached with one of the German companies during the Belarusian Investment Forum in Frankfurt am Main, Germany, BelTA learnt from Viktor Nekrashevich, deputy chairman of the Mogilev oblast executive committee. According to him, in the next two to three weeks German experts will visit Mogilev Oblast to get familiar with possible sites for construction. The project investments are estimated at ?20 million. The new facility will produce cement-bonded particle boards by pressing wood particles, cement and chemical additives. These products are nonflammable materials with improved biological stability and are designed for the use in construction of wall panels, coating plate, suspended ceilings, ventilation skips, flooring, window boards, etc. In Germany Mogilev Oblast presented four major projects: setting up an import-substituting production of baby diapers, a facility to manufacture multifunctional film products from polymeric materials, construction of a line to produce polyester reinforced base for roofing materials and setting up a facility to produce ceramic bricks from tripoli. “We have found potential partners for all projects. More detailed negotiations will be held in the near future. In addition, agreements were reached with German businessmen about a possibility of creating a heat pumps production facility on the territory of the Mogilev Free Economic Zone and an industrial park of German chemical technologies,” Viktor Nekrashevich said.
