East-Kazakhstan region interested in joint production of Mogilevliftmash lifts
MOGILEV, 25 November (BelTA) – The East-Kazakhstan region is interested in setting up a joint venture to produce Mogilevliftmash lifts, Governor of the East-Kazakhstan region Berdybek Saparbayev said as he met with Chairman of the Mogilev oblast executive committee Piotr Rudnik. A delegation of the East-Kazakhstan region led by Berdybek Saparbayev is in the Mogilev oblast on a three-day official visit. The delegation consists of the heads of the large industrial companies, representatives of the agricultural industry and businessmen. The Kazakhstan delegation has already paid a visit to Mogilevliftmash. “You have been able to preserve highly-qualified staff, secure the stable performance and produce competitive goods using advanced technologies. Lifts are in high demand in the East-Kazakhstan region. Nearly 300 lifts have to be replaced in Ust-Kamenogorsk alone. Therefore, the joint production of Mogilev lifts can be included into the Kazakhstan industrial development programme,” Berdybek Saparbayev said. According to him, the East-Kazakhstan region would like to adopt the Belarusian experience in processing of farm products and implementing new technologies in plant-growing and cattle-breeding and would like to set up joint facilities. “We made sure that the Mogilev oblast can become a good reliable partner in these and other projects,” Berdybek Saparbayev said. The Mogilev oblast and East-Kazakhstan oblast have huge cooperation prospects as they have similar economic potential, said the chairman of the Mogilev oblast executive committee, Piotr Rudnik. “We are ready to support all your proposals to set up joint facilities, to promote industrial cooperation. We are also ready to propose the Kazakh business to take part in investment projects in the Mogilev oblast including the ones to create the productions of construction materials, local energy sources, flax processing and others,” the governor said. Kazakhstan accounts for 4.2% of the trade of the Mogilev oblast with the CIS countries. In January-September 2009 the trade between the Mogilev oblast and Kazakhstan amounted to $48.2 million, or 79% as against the same period last year. Exports were down by 8% ($44.9 million), imports by 71.9% ($3.3 million).БЕЛТА
