Bobruiskagromash to set up joint enterprise in Krasnodar Territory

MINSK, 9 August (BelTA) – The Belarusian mechanical engineering company Bobruiskagromash intends to start joint production of agricultural machines in Krasnodar Territory, the Russian Federation, by the end of the year, representatives of the company’s marketing department told BelTA. The relevant agreement to implement the investment project in the town of Korenovsk was signed at the Belagro expo in Minsk on 8 June by representatives of Bobruiskagromash, the Krasnodar Territory administration, and the union of agricultural machinery and equipment manufacturers KubanAgroPromMash. As part of the project around RUB600 million will be allocated to develop joint manufacturing in 2010-2014. At present preparations are in progress in Korenevsk to get the production space ready. Initially the new enterprise will manufacture balers and dump carriers. Later on it will start manufacturing other Bobruiskagromash agricultural machines. In May 2010 Bobruiskagromash set up a joint assembly enterprise in Volgograd to manufacture balers PRF-180. Ten balers have been assembled and sold so far, with plans to assemble another ten by the end of the year afoot. In November the enterprise is supposed to start assembling balers PRF-145. Bobruiskagromash representatives said that such assembly enterprises allow multiplying sales in regions. Bobruiskagromash’s assembly enterprises now operate in Yaroslavl Oblast, Tatarstan, Altai Territory, Krasnoyarsk Territory, Transbaikalia, Kazakhstan, and Uzbekistan. Negotiations are in progress to set up an assembly enterprise in Ukraine. Bobruiskagromash sells assembly sets while partners assemble machines and sell them. In January-June 2010 Bobruiskagromash increased its output by 13% in comparison with the same period of last year, with export up by 50%. While in 2009 Bobruiskagromash exported its products to 20 countries, in 2010 the number of export destinations is supposed to reach 25. This year the company has sold its products to Mongolia, Guinea, Estonia and Slovakia for the first time. OAO Bobruiskagromash is a major Belarusian manufacturer of agricultural machines. The company’s manufacturing program is based on mounted and trailed machines used for fodder conservation and distribution. The company also offers spreaders for organic and mineral fertilizers, roll-fed flax harvesters, dump trailers for tractors of various capacity and a lot more. Founded in 1974, Bobruiskagromash was incorporated as an open joint-stock company in 2005. The company now employs about 2,400 people.
