Belgospischeprom enterprises to double export by late 2015
BYKHOV, 4 October (BelTA) – Enterprises operated by the Belarusian state food industry corporation Belgospischeprom intend to raise their merchandise export by more than two times by late 2015. Belgospischeprom Chairman Ivan Danchenko gave the relevant instructions at the national seminar held on 4 October to discuss complex development of the organizations that manufacture tinned fruits and vegetables. Held at premises of OAO Bykhov Canned Vegetables Factory, the seminar was also supposed to discuss the effectiveness of the measures, which are being taken, after nine months of the year. Ivan Danchenko believes that exporting more is the primary task for Belgospischeprom enterprises these days. In January-September 2012 export accounted for nearly 13% of the total sales. It is considerably higher than the figure registered in the same period of last year but the enterprises have the potential and the capability to at least double the figure in the next few years. “After the current five-year term we should export about 30% of the output,” said Ivan Danchenko. To achieve the goal, processing enterprises should put more efforts into completing the modernization of their own enterprises. They should reach the designed output capacity of their equipment, expand the choice of competitive products and the number of export destinations. “It is time to think about putting more efforts into the creation of processing holding companies. It will help optimize the production, sales, and the effective promotion of products onto the domestic and foreign markets,” said Ivan Danchenko.БЕЛТА
