Belarus to partake in youth exchange project in Norfolk
MOGILEV, 15 June (BelTA) – The Mogilev Oblast will present Belarus at the international youth exchange project in Norfolk, England, on 17-27 August, BelTA learnt from Director General of the Youth Voluntary Labor League Anatoly Babakov. It will be the second meeting of the youth groups from four countries: England, the Netherlands, Russia and Belarus. The participants of the meeting are expected to discuss the issues of current importance for young people and get familiar with the cultural traditions of the participating states. The previous forum took place in Murmansk. Mogilev will be the venue for the next meeting in 2011. The Belarusian group will comprise university and lyceum students (15 people). Obligatory conditions for participation are the knowledge of the English language, sociability, creative and sports potential. The Belarusian students are supposed to present their country, its history, culture and traditions, partake in the debates, music and theatre performances, various competitions, training and excursions. “Participation in youth exchanges enriches experience in organizing such international projects, broadens outlook, helps establish working and friendly contacts with the youth from other countries and gives a good opportunity to practice foreign languages,” Anatoly Babakov noted.БЕЛТА
