Chambers of commerce of Mogilev Oblast, Georgia’s Adjara sign cooperation agreement
MINSK, 23 November (BelTA) – The Mogilev Office of the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BCCI) and the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Georgia’s Autonomous Republic of Adjara signed a cooperation agreement during the business forum Minsk-Batumi held in the Belarusian capital on 20 November, BelTA has learned.
“This year has been eventful in terms of business cooperation. A large-scale forum was held in Georgia during the first official visit of Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko in April. Partaking in the forum were more than 40 Belarusian companies and over 200 Georgian enterprises. In July, a business delegation from Mogilev Oblast paid a visit to Batumi. The cooperation agreement between the Mogilev Office of the BCCI and the Adjara Chamber of Commerce and Industry is a logical continuation of the dialogue,” BCCI Chairman Mikhail Myatlikov noted.
He said that Belarusian businessmen learned about the investment climate in Batumi, Adjara’s potential in tourism and agriculture during the forum in Minsk. “The Georgian businessmen have an opportunity to learn about the possible avenues of cooperation with Belarusian companies, including travel agencies,” Mikhail Myatlikov said.
He expressed confidence that new contacts will be established during bilateral negotiations, which will result in contracts and an increase in the trade between Belarus and Georgia.
