“In 2022 we will allocate more than Br357 million extra to implement the state investment program. Funds will be spent to build and renovate 145 facilities, like major roads and bridges, rental housing, deferrization stations, etc. Thirteen new facilities have been added; they include the projects which funding was suspended by international organizations. The amount in question is more than Br1 billion for 2022,” Yuri Chebotar said.

As for social infrastructure, additional money is to be earmarked for the construction of three educational facilities in Zhabinka, Stolin and Miory, four healthcare facilities in Nesvizh, Gomel and Mogilev. “We will finance the renovation of a concert hall in Vitebsk, and a swimming pool in Uzda,” the first deputy minister noted.

In addition, the funding for the construction of a surgery and resuscitation building of the Cardiology National Research Center in Minsk and a polyclinic in a new neighborhood in Orsha, and the renovation of a hospital in Grodno was increased. “As far as cultural and tourist sites are concerned, I would like to mention the refurbishment of the Holy Assumption Cathedral and the palace and park ensemble in Zhilichi,” Yuri Chebotar added.

According to him, due to the increased funding, 11 out of 60 facilities will be additionally commissioned by the end of the year.
